Got my half-shafts back. That is all.

Fun fact - this looks like the drive shaft on the Willys, except longer.

These are only marginally shorter than the Landy ones, of which of course the rear is about an inch and a half shorter. The Willys I assume have a slip joint? Also, I assume the Willys U-joints are smaller - these are 4” mammoths.

Nope that’s about right - 4” or 3” u-joints. It does have a slip joint, but I think it’s 11-1/2” installed.

So how many times did you have to explain to the guy at the shop What Those Things Are?

These are 13-1/16” on centers, down from an original length on the forged piece of 16-1/8”.

Funny story: the guy in the shop had been curious, but the guy behind the counter when I went to pay seemed to know all about it. Either he knew the whole time and didn’t get asked, the mentioned jogged *his* memory, or he went and researched the whole thing after hearing. Any of which would be interesting, if odd.

Or there are enough old Jaaaaaaaaaaags running around that it made some sense to said person.
Either one is interesting, if weird.
